How does it hang?
Purrcradle hangs from one point. Fix a ceiling hook into a ceiling joist or wooden beam, clip the top rope loop on, and it's ready. The cradle does not come with a hook. Our Ceiling Hook Kit (two stainless hook plates, carabiners, screws and anchors) is available at checkout. You can also use an existing ceiling hook, a sturdy beam or a freestanding plant or hammock stand.
How big is it?
The basket is 15.7 in (40 cm) across, and the whole cradle is about 53 in (135 cm) long from the top loop to the tip of the bottom tassel. Hang it so the basket sits at a comfortable jumping height for your cat, usually near a sofa arm, window sill or cat tree.
Will my cat fit?
The 40 cm basket suits most adult house cats curling up. Very large breeds may prefer to lounge with a paw over the rim. Always use a hook rated well above your cat's weight and fix it into a joist or beam.
What's in the Christmas Edition?
The handwoven cradle, a string of warm white fairy lights on thin copper wire with an AA battery box (batteries not included), and a set of shatterproof red mini ornaments to hang from the rim, just like in our videos.
Are the lights safe around my cat?
They're low-voltage, battery-powered LEDs that stay cool to the touch. Please switch them off when you're out or asleep, keep the battery box out of reach, and skip the lights and ornaments if your cat likes to chew cables or small objects.
Do I need a cushion?
The net basket is comfortable on its own, and many cats love a folded blanket inside. Our round plush cushion fits the basket perfectly for extra softness in winter.
What if my cat won't use it?
Most cats claim it within a few days, especially if you place it near their favourite spot and add a blanket that smells like home, or a few treats. If it's not a hit, our 30-day guarantee has you covered.
How do I clean it?
Remove the lights and ornaments, then hand-wash the cradle in cool water with a mild detergent and let it air-dry hanging. Spot-clean in between. Don't tumble dry.
When will it arrive? Will it be here for Christmas?
